Coleman Carlsbad DarkRoom 6 Person Tent Review
The Coleman Carlsbad Fast Pitch 6 is an affordable tent that keeps you cool even on a hot sunny day. This designed for warm weather so it perfect to bring along beach outings.
The setup is pretty easy because the shock corded poles are permanently attached at the hub on top of the tent. Just clip the rest of the tent and you’re done
The key feature of this tent is the Dark Room technology. Coleman boasts that it can block 98% of sunlight so it’s great if you prefer to stay inside even if the sun is high.
Because it keeps the sun away, the interior of the tent is cooler than the average dome tent. The mesh walls also offer good ventilation.
The Coleman Carlsbad Fast Pitch 6 has a front porch area where you can hang out or prepare meals. The front porch mesh is only partially covered though. There may be a chance of bugs getting in the tent.
You have a port for your extension cable so you can bring in some electric appliances in the tent. You can keep the cords in the storage pockets around the walls.
Pros
Dark Room Technology – Effectively blocks out the sun from the tent.

Affordable – The tent is reasonably priced for a 6 person tent and a great deal because of its dark room feature.
Cons
Not ideal in rainy conditions – Can’t handle too much rain and winds. This tent is only great to use during the summer.
Partial protection – The fly does not fully cover the tent and there is a tendency for bugs to get in the porch area.
